New Year jobs rush for hub members

The National Youth Film Academy has started the New Year with yet more job success.

Two members of the hub have recently secured paid positions in the Film industry through the NYFA jobs platform.

Oscar Faina has secured a permanent role with the award-winning advertising agency Space City. Oscar joins the team as an Edit Assistant.

He said: “I’m really excited to start my new job at Space City as advertising is something I’ve really wanted to get into after I finished university.”

“The National Youth Film Academy played a huge part in helping me find this role so I would like to thank them hugely.”

Elliott Paterson has also seen his initial work experience with London-based Kudos become paid, with the television production company employing him on an initial 6 month contract.

Elliott said: “Through the National Youth Film Academy I have received invaluable support with interviews as well as being connected with potential employers.”

“The best thing as someone currently looking for work and eking out an existence on a limited reserve is that this incredible service is free.”

To date over 1000 young people have signed up to the free platform, with 35 different organisations within the film/TV industry posting over 50 opportunities so far.
