National Youth Film Academy member Shayan Ali has landed a role on the set of BBC thriller The Capture with the help of our Talent Team.

Shayan, who is one of our 2019 Emerging Brits, will be working as a Location Marshal on set of The Capture, which stars Holliday Grainger and Callum Turner.
The Capture is about British soldier Shaun Emery (Turner), whose conviction for a murder in Afghanistan is successfully overturned due to flawed video evidence, as he begins to plan for his life as a free man with his six year old daughter.

Working on The Capture was fantastic, as always the Talent Team have done a fantastic job in helping me get this opportunity and it went really well!
It was very similar to some of the previous jobs I’ve done, on a relatively smaller scale but somehow more responsibility, as each marshal was responsible for a whole street/entrance which required a lot more multitasking and public facing skills than before. Thankfully the job opportunities I’ve had via the National Youth Film Academy meant that I was able to take on the challenge.
As ever, being on set is always amazing and it was made even better with everyone on set being wonderful to work with. I can’t wait to watch the series when it’s out so I can get excited over “that” car chase scene I was a part in filming.
