Exciting opportunity to work in the film & entertainment industry at a fresh and vibrant company based inside the world famous Pinewood Studios. Uni-versalEXTRAS are a highly successful Extras casting agency. We have supplied extras, walk-ons, background and supporting artists for TV, Film, and Commercials for over ten years. Our extensive client base includes: the BBC, ITV, DreamWorks, Warner Bros, Sony, Universal, Paramount and many others.

  • Salary: £18,000 (increasing to £20,000 following probation)
  • Working hours: Mon to Thur 10:00 – 19:00, Fri 08:30 – 18:00 (with 1 hour for lunch). However,due to the nature of the film industry, you will regularly work later than your core hours
  • Please only apply if your commute to Pinewood Film Studios, Iver is less than 45 minutes

The role of a Booking Agent is primarily telephone based. There will however be opportunities of advancement into more senior project management positions for the right candidates, as Uni- versalEXTRAS prides itself on promoting from within.

Key tasks:

You will be working with and assisting Senior Casting Agents to achieve their project briefs. As well as being involved with checking and booking of Supporting Artists/Extras, you will be responsible for various administrative tasks set by the Senior Casting Agents.

  • ·  To discuss details of potential roles with the supporting artists on our database via telephone and our in-house systems
  • ·  Creation and maintenance of all paperwork relating to a production using Microsoft excel and our in-house database
  • ·  Maintaining production details and Supporting Artist diaries using our in-house system
  • ·  Supporting the Casting Agent on each production with breaking down of filming schedules,admin and casting support as well as communication with clients.Qualifications and Skills:
  • Call centre or recruitment experience useful albeit not essential
  • Be confident when dealing with the general public, work colleagues and clients
  • Be able to work to short deadlines with good time-management skills
  • Have an excellent telephone manner and good communication skills
  • Take direction well and be a team player
  • Have good organisation and note taking skills, and be able to multi-task
  • Be computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Show a willingness to learn with a proactive attitude
  • Be punctual with good time keeping skills
